Mazur, Jr., Esq. http://www.carbonmonoxidehelp.com/Blog/?p=22 Just saw a news flash online about another carbon monoxide incident, this time in Ogden, Utah. Apparently a building on 551 Depot Drive had to be evacuated because of high levels of Carbon Monoxide. The building is the location of Elkay West Company. Apparently, 44 employees have had to be transported to area hospitals. 14 people were transported by ambulance in critical or urgent condition, some were being treated in hyperbaric chambers.

 

Based upon the article, this appears to be a significant incident, as one of the hospitals that employees are being sent to has a hypobaric chamber. It will be interesting to see what caused the carbon monoxide exposure in this case. The facility involved is a manufacturing and warehouse facility.  This appears to be a situation where carbon monoxide was allowed to build up to dangerous levels indoors. It raises some questions about ventilation and carbon monoxide monitoring  iat this facility.
